Aleppo Soap

Handcrafted Aleppo Soap: Tradition & Purity from Syria to Your Home

Immerse yourself in a centuries‑old Syrian soap-making tradition. Genuine Aleppo soap—also known as laurel or “ghar” soap. Crafted in Aleppo using the hot-process method: olive oil and water are boiled for several days, then fragrant laurel oil is blended in just before the mixture is poured out, walked flat, cut into bars, stamped with the maker’s seal, and air-cured for months until it forms a durable, natural soap. Our premium bars are made with 60% organic olive oil and up to 40% all-natural laurel oil, with no pesticides, additives, or synthetic fragrances—an authentic tribute to Mediterranean skincare.

Our journey began with a mission: Find the most authentic, natural, and high quality Aleppo Soap we could. Sourcing from Syria’s olive orchards in the cultural hub of Aleppo—where UNESCO recently recognized Aleppo soap’s craftsmanship as intangible cultural heritage in December 2024—to source the finest genuine Aleppo soaps direct from the source. We partnered with Cleopatra, a small family workshop that uses traditional methods passed down through generations. To this day they are hand-stamping each bar after cutting, preserving traditional artistry in every piece with love.
